Firefighter/EMT

The Portales Fire Department, a progressive Fire/EMS service providing Fire Suppression, Rescue, and Paramedic Level Treatment and Transport, is now taking applications for a EMT Basic, Intermediate or Paramedic.

 

Applicants must be able to perform fire fighting, fire prevention, and emergency medical activities along with maintenance of vehicles, equipment and facilities.

 

Requirements

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Current NM driver's license or eligible to obtain one
  • Current NM EMT-Basic licensure
  • Pass physical agility testing
